“As the owner of an old and dilapidated house, I had had mixed experiences with various other carpenters, who had failed, for example, to allow for the need for rising hinges because of bowed floors and adjustments due to angled walls. Mr Thomson’s work was a welcome relief. He understood the complications of renovation and his work was first class, with no need for readjustments afterwards. He worked around my sometime complex schedules and left the premises impeccable at the end of a job. He was also happy to source recycled materials that were in keeping with the style of the house and always came in at his quoted price, even where unforeseen complications arose. I have made extensive use of his services over the years for fitting and adjusting doors, refurbishing a kitchen, replacing floorboards, putting in fitted shelving and cupboards and replacing skirting boards, etc. I am delighted with his work and will continue to use his services.”
